Greetings, all!!  It's time for some nitty-gritty details about our upcoming Festival on Saturday, March 22.

We are starting the day at 8am.  We learned much last year so we're hoping for a shorter wait time for each of you and better flow throughout the day.  I love that these things always improve!

Our gracious judge will arrive the night before and has been treated to a free hotel stay for Friday night by one of my supremely generous families.  Thank you, again!

Date:    Saturday, March 22

Time:    Beginning at 8am (warmup at 7:50am)

Where:  Valley View Mission Center, 3108 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch 75234

Dress:  Nice - (no shorts, no flip-flops), hair away from the face, nails trimmed

Music:  Bring your piano book or vocal music with the measures numbered. (I should have all of the vocal music ahead of time.)

Warmup: Everyone has a warmup time. It will be in a separate room away from the sanctuary. There will be a sign.

Performance: Students will perform in the sanctuary. There will be a sign. You will perform from memory and the judge will have your music for reference.  She will provide great insight on improving each performance.

Ratings: Every student will receive a rating, and an adjudication form with feedback on the performance. The scale is: SUPERIOR (1), EXCELLENT (2), GOOD (3). I will keep all the forms and we will go over them at the next lesson. Ribbons will be awarded at the Recital Showcases on May 17. 

Family: This is a closed performance so family members may not enter.  You are free to leave as soon as your musician/s have finished.

Food/Drink:  We are not providing snacks or drinks for this event. Please bring what you need.

Pianists: Please adjust the piano bench before you play.

    * An idea of the best performance time for your family

    * The $25 fee per entry.  If a student is performing a vocal and a piano solo,

      the fee is $50.  Your usual payment method is terrific.
